Visiting Distinguished Faculty Program

The program provides funding to bring a widely known academic scholar/distinguished professor to campus to serve as the Graduate School’s Outside Examiner for a student’s dissertation defense. The scholar will also present a research colloquium, open to the UK campus and Lexington community.

Faculty Leadership and Development in the SEC

Each year, the Office for Faculty Advancement helps promote opportunities for faculty growth and development through initiatives such as the Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program (SEC-ALDP). This is a highly prestigious program that identifies future academic leaders and helps them develop skills necessary to lead complex organizations and institutions.

Topping Out of Michael D. Rankin MD Health Education Building

Last week, the university community celebrated the momentous “topping out” of the Michael D. Rankin MD Health Education Building on our campus. This new and innovative structure will house programs in the Colleges of Medicine, Public Health, Health Sciences and Nursing as well as the Center for Interprofessional and Community Health Education.
